We built and own a villa just down the road from Casa Palma, which we run as a successful rental property, running at an annual 80% occupancy rate. We’ve taken the things we’ve learned that work well in this part of the country, and things that don’t, and incorporated those into the design of Casa Palma.
For example, living near the beach and within some of the most beautiful tropical landscape in the world, you want to have the best of indoor/oudoor living. However what you don’t want is to let too much nature inside. We’ve maximized the indoor/outdoor living space so you feel safe, clean and protected in the villa, while appreciating the rugged beauty and tropical sunshine outside.
We’ve also chosen the most durable and beautiful finishes for this tropical climate – 100% natural cedar cabinetry, columns and beams – no melamine or synthetic wood materials; granite, sturdy block and reinforced columns, a deep foundation to counter against land settling and systemic movement, high-end Spanish porcelain tile, and more.
External inset floor lighting on the terrace and swimming pool area add natural elegance in the evenings, without over illuminating this light-pollution-free zone. The stars are endless here in Guanacaste, take the view in from Casa Palma!
Floor-to-ceiling tiling gives an added level of spa-like elegance to each of the en-suite bathrooms, and the master external tropical shower keeps you in touch with the raw natural beauty and exoticness of Costa Rica.
